• Medicating Cats

  Medicine may come in several formulations. It is important that your cat receives the prescribed medication.

• Megaoesophagus or Oesophageal Dilation

  This condition results from dilation or paralysis of the oesophagus or tube which connects the mouth with the stomach. There is also an inability of the oesophagus to contract and push the swallowed food into the stomach.

• Megestrol Acetate

  Megestrol acetate is a progestogen used to prevent and postpone oestrus (heat).

• Melanocytic Tumours

  Melanocytes are cells that produce a pigment called melanin. They are found in many parts of the body where there is pigment, particularly skin, hair and eyes.

• Meloxicam

  Meloxicam is a non-steroidal anti-inflammatory agent used to relieve pain and inflammation. Your veterinarian may prescribe meloxicam to reduce pain in arthritis.

• Methoprene

  Methoprene is classified as an insect growth regulator. It does not kill adult fleas. Your veterinarian has prescribed this medication for the control of the fleas.

• Methylprednisolone

  Methylprednisolone is a corticosteroid used to treat inflammatory and allergic conditions. There may be other conditions for which your veterinarian may prescribe this medication.

• Metoclopramide

  Metoclopramide may be used to relieve the symptoms of vomiting and gastro-oesophageal reflux. This medication may be used for other conditions as determined by your veterinarian.

• Metronidazole

  Metronidazole is a synthetic antibacterial and antiprotozoal agent. It is used to treat infections such as gingivitis, wound infections, and giardiasis.

• Microchipping

  It is sensible to ensure permanent identification of your dog, no matter whether much loved family pet or valuable show dog. Permanent identification is primarily designed to provide an effective means of reuniting owners with dogs that have strayed.
